Gracie Torres was the youngest and first Latina Vice President of Western Municipal Water District

RIVERSIDE, CA – Today, The California Women’s List has announced the endorsement of Western Municipal Water District, Division 2, Director Gracie Torres for Riverside County Board of Supervisors, District 1.

“California Women’s List is thrilled to endorse Gracie Torres for Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Gracie has dedicated herself to public service and is committed to leading by uplifting everyone in the Riverside community. She brings compassion and unique expertise to this role, and we could not be happier to support her leadership in the Inland Empire,” said Marissa Roy, President of California Women’s List.

“It is a huge honor to have earned the endorsement of California Women’s List,” stated Gracie Torres. “As a mother and elected official, I wholeheartedly understand the issues in our communities and the importance of elevating diverse voices while building a more robust economy that creates opportunities for all.”

California Women’s List joins a broad and strong coalition of endorsements from elected, labor, and community. This includes Assemblymember Corey Jackson, San Bernardino County Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., Riverside Unified School District Trustee Noemi-Hernandez Alexander, and Perris Councilmembers Marisela Magana, David Starr Rabb, and Malcolm Corona.

Torres is currently the only declared woman in the race for District 1.

About Gracie Torres

Gracie Torres currently serves as a member of Western Municipal Water District and works for Riverside County’s Flood Control and Conservation District. She earned her bachelor’s in chemistry and master’s in environmental science from California State University, San Bernardino. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in public administration from California Baptist University. Torres is a longtime residents of Riverside and is raising her three children in the community.
