Issues

Job Creation and Affordability

Riverside should be a hub where residents can find good-paying jobs close to home. I have a proven track record of bringing jobs to the Inland Empire and standing up for residents by voting against rate increases during economic downturns. I will work to attract diverse industries, support small business growth, and partner with our local colleges and workforce programs to prepare residents for careers in emerging fields. By fostering innovation, streamlining permitting for local entrepreneurs, and revitalizing key commercial corridors, we can create sustainable economic growth that benefits every neighborhood in Ward 2.

Enhancing City Services

City services are the backbone of a thriving community and the core job of a councilmember! As a public works professional and water board member, I have delivered results by replacing aged infrastructure and bringing quality projects to the greater Riverside community. I will continue to advocate for modernizing city infrastructure, improving response times for service requests, and ensuring every neighborhood receives the same level of attention and investment. We will use data-driven decision making to prioritize repairs, expand digital tools for reporting issues, and make sure residents’ voices guide our service improvements.

Investing in Public Safety, and Addressing Homelessness

Every resident deserves to feel safe in their home, on their street, and in our public spaces. I have worked directly with public safety officers and community groups to address homelessness, giving me an intimate understanding of the issue and the solutions that work. I will champion resources for our police and fire departments to improve staffing, equipment, and training while expanding community policing and outreach programs to build trust. Public safety also means prevention, which is why I will tackle the homelessness crisis with compassionate, effective strategies that keep our neighborhoods safe and provide much needed resources.
